Super Monkey Ballin’

Monkey Ball

This site is about a college guy who is so obsessed with Super Monkey Ball Deluxe that he decided to live in a ball. It’s a Sega site, so this is probably just a marketing site, but Christ, I laughed so hard, I think a little pee came out. There are currently 6 short movies, and I watched them with the sound turned off. You will be rolling.

Old enough to ask for it

Bluegrass girl, this is just like your plane experience.

Crabby and I went to a new restaurant in town last night. At the table next to us was a spikey-haired 40-ish new-ager (licensed joyologist type). She was breastfeeding her son. I’m not good with estimating children’s ages, but when he was done feeding, he got down, walked over to another person at the table who had his toy bag and politely asked, “Can I please have my truck”.

Closer, Clarisse

Res Dogs

This guy recreates set interiors from creepy movies within the Unreal Tournament 2003 game engine like the long hallway from The Shining, Hanibal Lechter’s cell, the warehouse from Reservoir Dogs.

2080 Nintendo games

NES games

Someone is selling 2080 Nintnedo games on eBay (mostly NES). Crabby, if you play your cards right there might be a really big crate under the tree this year. Oh, and Boat Duel is in there (officially Eliminator Boat Duel).

Microsoft speaks out against Kiwi anti-spam bill

Microsoft spokesperson Ryan Hamlin:

says the New Zealand Government’s Unsolicited Electronic Messages Bill is “too broad” and could impinge on “the amazing vehicle of e-mail marketing”.

He also wants definitions in the bill changed so that companies would be able to e-mail information about new products and services to customers, even if they had opted out of receiving e-mail about other services they had bought from the company in the past.

Yeah, that sounds reasonable. So for a company that sells more than one single product, the customer would have to opt out of spam for each one individually. They’ll also have to stay on their toes because the company might start selling something new.
