The rise and fall of a luck presser

Press Your Luck

This happened a long time ago, but this is the first I heard of it. There was a guy that video taped Press You Luck shows and found the pattern in the spin game. He got on the show and applied it, resulting in winnings over $100K. Here’s his story.

O.K., that is a great story. Pathos and desperation on top of cheap graphics and 80’s blouses. Why did he have to invest his winnings in a fraudulent real-estate scheme? So sad.
My sibs and I watched this show every day after school. The whammies were so annoying, particularly their grating laugh and stupid “props” (like roller skates or a beach umbrella). And that host seriously needed a cock punch.

It’s so sad!: desparation, greed, ponzi schemes and game shows. This should be a movie.

Or at least another game show.
