Call of Duty 2 preview and trailer

Call of Duty 2 preview
IGN has a preview and trailer of Call of Duty 2. I don’t know if it’s coming out for multiple platforms, but it’s filed under the PC section, yet the trailer indicates that it’s for XBox 360. Anyway, it looks great. I finished the first Call of Duty for the PC a few months ago. It’s the best WWII FPS I’ve played.

Halo 3 parrying PS3 launch

Borg Gates
Time magazine (via Gamespot) writes:

Note to the hard-core faithful: the next version of Halo will not, repeat not, be ready in time for the launch of Xbox 360. It will be part of the all-important second wave next spring. ‘It’s perfect,’ Gates says, radiant with bloodlust. ‘The day Sony launches [the new PlayStation], and they walk right into Halo 3.’

Also of note, that pose on the Time cover is ironically close to the long-standing symbol of the evil empire used by Slashdot.org:

Sly 3 in 3-D

Sly 3
PS2.IGN is reporting that Sly 3 will use 3-D glasses.

Sly 3 will feature specific missions that are designed for the 3D glasses that will come with the game. These glasses will help players get a cool view as Sly navigates through invisible lasers, decrypts puzzles, and uses his power-ups. As the game gets closer to completion, more missions and mini-games will have the 3D option designed for them.

The Sly Cooper series for the PS2 is, IMO, the best platformer series evarrr! We’re looking forward to Sly 3.

StealthSwitch

StealthSwitch
This is a foot pedal that you hide under your desk at work. When Lundberg strolls up to your desk you give the pedal a tap with your foot. Only a moment ago you were in an intense game of Doom 3 (or Minesweeper), but after the tap all Lundburg sees on your screen is your TPS report in progress. As soon as that asshat leaves, another tap returns you to cyberdemon fragging bliss. Make sure you watch the demo.

Caveat:
This found under features:

  • Play distinctive StealthSwitchâ„¢ sound when hiding windows
