Green groups have pressured Disney’s Hong Kong resort to remove shark fin soup from their restaurants because of the cruelty in the way the fins are harvested. An odd compromise was reached when Disney said they would continue to serve the soup, but with each bowl they’ll hand out a pamphlet where the controversial harvesting method is explained and denounced. The city of Dortmund, Germany is installing drive-in wooden “sex huts” for prostitutes to ply their trade during next year’s World Cup. According to a city spokesperson, the city’s official red light district on the outskirts of town wouldn’t be able to handle the boom in business. From the Reuters article:
Dortmund plans to arrange the Dutch-designed huts, which have been introduced in the city of Cologne, another World Cup venue, in an area with condom machines and snack bar.
“Men have to get used to them of course, but a high percentage accept them because they can protect their anonymity,†the official said.
“That said there will always be those who want to go behind a bush, under a bridge or into the woods.â€

Men who view pornographic images of two men and a woman produce better-quality sperm than men viewing pornographic images of just women, an Australian study reveals.
The finding suggests that humans may be capable of subconsciously increasing semen quality when faced with the possibility that their sperm will have to outrun those of other men in a woman’s reproductive tract.

Qui Chengwei stabbed Zhu Caoyuan in the chest when he found out he had sold his virtual sword for 7,200 Yuan (£473).
The sword, which Mr Qui had lent to Mr Zhu, was won in the popular online game Legend of Mir 3.
Attempts to take the dispute to the police failed because there is currently no law in China to protect virtual property.
