My 2 cents. Microsoft’s only hope for winning the next console war is Xbox Live. But Sony will trounce 360 sales, for the same reason PS2 was a strong seller initially: People will buy it because it’s both a game console, and a HD-DVD player. That’s the fatal flaw in the 360.

I agree that Xbox Live is critical, but first-to-market always helps, often a lot. However, tied to that is the quality of the launch titles.

In the end, though, i don’t care how many gigaherz/megaflops, it needs to come down to the games.
