Love that buff-it!

Suffice to say, the Boar’s Nest probably doesn’t offer a “carb-counting” menu…yee-haa (click the haa)…

But bacon is sooooo good. As the bluegrass girl, I have to defend the other white meat.
This shit is no joke. Every BBQ shack at home is full of smoke, and not from the pits. People will offer you fried okra and assert that it is healthy because okra is a vegetable. Ladies bake pies that include an entire bag of crumbled Fritos as an ingredient. My uncle fed my 1-year-old second cousin peanuts that were soaking in Coca Cola.

I ran a database project for the EPA a few years ago. Kentucky was at the top of the list for 8 out of 11 metrics for having the dirtiest coal-fired power plants per megawatt hour produced (including SO2, NOX, particulate matter, and carcinogens of which there were over 20). But I would happliy brave those conditions for a good pork shoulder.

    From the article:

Any dollar you spend on Medicaid, you don’t have to spend on K-12 education, for example, said Jeanne Boeh, chairwoman of the economics department at Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

This argument can be seen in nearly every commentary involving public expenditure, and it’s meaningless. That’s the definition of a fucking budget. A five year old with a dollar in a candy store knows this.

“More than a quarter of all state residents are obese, putting them at risk for heart attack, stroke, Type II diabetes and colorectal cancer.”

Bullshit rhetoric alert! That’s actually lower than the obesity rate in the US. Nice reporting.
