Dee-sgusting State of A Fair Pt. 1

Been busy so these will come slowly. Plus I’m going back to the fair tomorrow as a U of MN rep. Anyway, here is one of the big draws – All you can drink milk for $1. Used to be 50 cents, heard some grumbling about that.

IMGA0408

Here’s a fun game designed to make you throw up. Every time you see a mullet, swig a 1/4 cup of milk. And no matter how many mullets you see, and you will see many, it’s only a $1 to get sick

This Spartan Life

This Spartan Life

This Spartan Life is a machinima talk-show that takes place inside a multiplayer Halo 2 game, using Xbox Live like Red Versus Blue, but better. The music is provided by an in-game DJ who spins 8bit Collective tunes made with a Game Boy. They have the Solid Gold Elite Dancers and the interviews are actually pretty thoughtful and stimulating, especially the segment with Bob Stein. Also clever is that they leave the game open so random players on Xbox Live jump into the game not knowing that it’s an interview, and they start killing the guests and host.

Well you know my name is Simon…

Chalk Hole

This guy’s work is amazing. He creates sidewalk chalk drawings in 3D. The works look skewed when observed from any angle except one. Here’s a good example:

Do the rock-away

Balancing Point

This is a short film (6min) that is played back in reverse. It’s a guy that unmakes cairns. Sounds boring, but it’s quite good.

Better than the finger

It’s no secret that The Commonwealth is home to some of the worlds worst drivers. The best way to correct this epidemic is effective communication at the time of transgression. As a resident, this new spiral-bound tabbed book of large-print sentiments is a must buy. Bonus: each page has the same sentiment written in reverse so it will appear normal when viewed in a mirror. A sampling:

And my favorite…

Road Rage cards gun

They also offer a milder censored version, in their words, “for those with slightly smaller balls.”

Neverending Fall

Neverending Fall

Here’s another flash animation that’s fascinating, but also a little creepy. It’s a physics-obeying interactive female mannequin falling through an infinite sky of spheres. If the mannequin gets stuck, you can help her along with your cursor.

Liquid Man

This guy has created an entrancing mouse-controlled flash animation.
